Looking for sexuality and identity articles?

Change.org – Gay Rights

This site has information on gay rights from a variety of sources.  Most of the resources are articles, some are informational and others are opinion-based.  This site also is updated regularly so it has a lot of up-to-date information.  People can also reply to the articles so you can see another person’s reaction to the article.  This site goes beyond the basics of LGBT politics and also has a plethora of articles concerning marriage equality, gay marriage, LGBT news at the state level, and even international news on gay rights.

This clearly pertains to the topics and themes of the class since one of our units is “regulating sex, sexuality, and identity”.  Many news stories about these topics are headlined on this site so articles that you usually might need to dig to find in a public newspaper are front and center on the homepage of this site.   You should be able to find information on sexuality and identity on this site if you are researching a related issue.  Also, change.com also has a tab on the top for “Women’s Rights” which I am sure would have more information for this course if you are in need of articles pertaining to women’s rights.

This website is really cool! Not only does it have a site dedicated to gay rights, it also has sites dedicated to things like: Women’s rights, sustainable food, global warming, global health, etc. You can also go to the gay rights site and browse categories like LGBT fashion, the exgay movement, LGBT health care, etc. The site is very easy to navigate and has a lot of humorous as well as informational articles, videos, etc.
