It says: because you appreciate how hard he works. My mom and I looked and looked for a similar page urging men to buy gifts for the women in their lives because they appreciate how hard she works, but we couldn’t find one. Doesn’t this seem like something out of the 1950s? Maybe Avon used the wrong text by mistake…
